The FormPlanet Open Innovation Test Bed is the main result of the FormPlanet project (2019 -2021), receiving funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 814517. ​

The Open Innovation Test Bed is constituted as a Joint Research Business Unit among Eurecat Technology Center, COMTES FHT and LETOMEC srl, three research entities with a solid R&D background in metal forming sharing a common goal: addressing the industrial challenges of the sheet metal forming industry.
